From the makers of Mass Effect, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and Baldur's Gate comes an epic tale of violence, lust, and betrayal.
The survival of humanity rests in the hands of those chosen by fate. You are a Grey Warden, one of the last of an ancient order of guardians who have defended the lands throughout the centuries. Betrayed by a trusted general in a critical battle, you must hunt down the traitor and bring him to justice.
This game I simply can't wait for.. I'd starve for a week just to try it out! It comes out on 360, PS3 and PC.
looks pretty good. A bit overused plot, but hey, doesn't make it bad.

Yes, the overall plot, or meta-plot if you will may be used a lot. But then again, there is only that much one can do until you have touched every subject there are. But I think we can see a lot of new cool twists, and gameplay elements.

As I'm quite busy these days. I thought I'd give you guys a small snack you can all chew while I'm gone.
There is some good news concerning this game. It has been rated M 17+ The label says, language, blood, intense violence, partial nudity and sexual content. Now... I think we'll finally see something new after all.
I'm gonna link a pic and a few videos, which of course is that particular snack I was talking about:
What I've manage to learn so far, is that the pic below is a dragon in "Human" form.
*EDIT* No, no. No dragon in human form. Turns out they updated their site since yesterday. The picture below is a Desire Demon. Yup yup. Why are always the wicked so hot?
So far so good, I'd say.
Now, for the videos
Well, that video quite literally shat me into the mood of some ol good hack and slash! Goodie Goodie!
Now, the next little vid. I was spooling back and forth, because I though I saw a tit But naaah, It was only a bra. Also, this movie features some more actual gameplay footage. Does not look bad, quite the contrary. This vid also features one possible NPC.
And last but not least, a vid that gives you a hint of what the plot will be about. It also sort of hints to the fact that there might be possible to have several romances along the way.
That concludes the snack. What do you all think? Also, This game was originally a PC exclusive game, but the release was delayed in order to port the game to Xbox 360 and PS3, so that the game would be launched on all these platforms simultaneous. The release date is set to 3. November!
I'm gonna jizz in my pants when I get it! Guaranteed!

Yup, for once we don't have enemies that are like more cute than scary. As far as I'm concerned those guys look real evil. You gotta stretch it to make them cute xD

Awesome video! Suddenly this game caught my interest
Haha, yeah. That video just beat all the others. Man, I can't wait. Since it's from the makers of Mass Effect, it's bound to be good. As long as you don't mind some drama in the middle of all the action, it'll be all good I guess. I like the style BioWare makes their games as of late.

After getting to play around with the Dragon Age character creator, I must say I'm rather happy about the way they made it. It makes for easy character creation. It's much like the Character creation in Mass Effect, Oblivion and Fallout. Yet the Character creator in Oblivion and Fallout sucked donkey balls, Mass Effect and Dragon age manages it just fine. In Oblivion it was difficult not creating ugly-fugly-bugly characters, which does not go well in my book.
After 5 minutes of dragging the bars and applying stats, this is what I came up with. Now, that's not bad.

Yeah, it looked nice, but felt they could include a little more customation when it came to stat or skills, the more or less choose for me I felt, might just be the demo.

Cool. I think I'll do a review like I did when I got myself Prototype. I don't trust the reviewers at Gamer or Spillmagasinet. I have faith in BioWare though.

Because I tend to have different views than them on what matters in a game. Most often games I find really good they give low scores, worse, they often criticize what I think makes the games good.
BioWare made Baldurs gate, the first KOTOR game, and Neverwinter Nights amongst others, which I thought where the best games I had ever played at the time. (exluding mass effect, as you said).
This is why I have faith in them.

okay, I just checked and I can run the game. I have more than the minimum requirements, and I'm only .4 GHZ short on the recomended CPU, and only 1 GB short on the recomended RAM. It looks like I can play this after all. Sweet.

Yeah, I read somewhere that you would not need a stoner pc to play it. Even though I bet we will miss out on much of the graphical experience.

My god! Runned it today! Took me 3 days. I played about 18 hours a day - a little over 50 hours, skipped a lot of side missions and stuff. So yeah, good game. Nice length and good plot. Seems a tad bit lotr at first, but thats just the way it is with battles, and it is not a bad thing. The whole thing was just Grand, magnificent!
Pachero! Stupido Grande! puta for my mama! The ending was so sad, I actually had tears in my eyes. I tell you folks, only one game made me feel like that before.
Pluss, this is the first game I've played that meks your choices ingame mean something. There's actual concequenses to most of the things you do. Wow!
SECOND RUN STARTING NAOW!

I witnessed the legend of human noble Elissa. Her father being the earl of a province in Ferelden. Her family was betrayed of their friend and ally, and another earl named Howe something, the landlord of a neighboring province. Howe attacked their castle during the night, taking all by surprise. Elissa fought her way to find her mother, still alive they searched for her father in all the confusion. They found him, although it was too late. Her father was injured badly. Unfortunately he was in no shape to escape the castle, and her wife, Elissas mother would not abandon him. The Grey Wardens had been at their castle a few days, looking for recruits. In order to survive, Elissa had no other choice than to abandon her mother and father at the overrun castle, venturing to safety with the Gray Warden. Unable to talk ther mother from the notion to stay with her already doomed father till the end, both died at the hands of Howe.
Later on, after joining the Gray wardens, she was thrown in a downward spiral of death and despair. Duncan, the leader of the Wardens together with the King died after another grave betrayal battling the darkspawn. Only Elissa and another Grey Warden survived the ordeal, minimizing their chances at success greately. The one betraying the King overtook the throne, keeping the widow queen captive, and framing the Gray Wardens of the betrayal. Hunted and harassed Elissa worked to amass an army of to battle the great Blight.
Even amongst all of this grittyness there was still hope. She met a 'man' that she felt for, and 'he' for her, but they never got the chance to fully indulge. The 'man' turned out to be the early deceased King's Brother, and the sole hier to the Throne. The late Kings wife, now rules the land, and the Kings 'brother' has no interest what so ever in being a king, strangely enough. However, many want 'him' on the throne, mostly because of his lineage, his royal blood. The queen however is loved, she rules in a fair way, and is good at it. This resulting in Elissa which could indeed become a Queen herelf at 'his' side; Talking to the queen behind 'his' back, agreeing to an alliance with the queen, and accepts to let her 'love' go, accepts to let her love marry his brothers wife for the best of all of Ferelden. The queen, a loved and fine ruler, and 'Him', the Grey Warden, a fair and just man. The people needs this more than anything. Upon trying to convince 'Him' to marry his brothers sister, he refuses point blank, he is not interested in the Throne nor of the Queen. Elissa in love witht he guy then does the hard thing, she gives him an ultimatum, which forces him to accept becoming a king, and marrying the Queen. In the process of him agreeing, he rushes out on her in hate for what she have done. The two never becomes friends again, she has lost her 'love'. Shortly thereafter the battle against the Archdemon goes down. Now, she has to fight alongside her 'love' to win, they do, and they do it well, when it is time to put in the death blow, her love alsmost goes for it, Elissa stops him, refusing to let the new king sacrifice himself. She then goes in his stead, plunging her sword in the head of the Archdemon... Unfortunatley killing a archdemon also kills the killer. The death, and taint of the arch demon arches into Elissa, after a few pained moments she finally falls over, dead.
In the days after her death they hold a memmorial service, where words of her greatness is spoken. Her brother, which was out at war, and believed deceased returned, only to find his family massacered, and his little sister the talk of the century, albeit dead.
The Gray wardens rebuild, and builds a huge statue in the honor of the Ultimate sacrifice Elissa did. She will be remembered throughout ages.
This is a short cap of what happened. There was so much more awesomeness, greatness and sadness. It simply have to be witnessed. I read somewhere that there is 10 - 15 endings to the game, so, you need not die. Elissa, however saw no other way.
What do you thing of the story I summarized? Gritty or not?

I think it answered enough questions, and opened more questions. Oh well. Nice summary, but you didn't tell us what other game almost made you tear up.
