Druid for neewbie

I am probably going to start playing WoW this christmas, and I am pretty set in playing a Tauren Druid. Any tips on how to be a good druid from you veterans?

Cool. Totally off topic, but do you have any idea of what server?

Xcavius or something.
I will be playing together with Lasse, Eirik and some other people I know.

I think I would enjoy druid, simply because it has so much to do and keep track off. I became bored with Mage and I don't play games that bore me.

Like lucky up thar said, when hitting level 10 put all your talents into the feral talent tree, easier for levling up and good fun too, choose stuff that looks like it helps damage dealing. *nod nod*

I just tried a druid talent calculator and I found out that in order to become that tree form, tree of life or something, I have to put 40 points into restoration.
a bit much, or is tree of life really that awesome?

how is pve healing different from pvp healing?

I think I'll focus mostly on my cat form. I doubt I would do well as a tank, so a rougeish cat seems to suit me more. but running up to mobs and tearing them apart as a bear seems fun as well.
Hmm...we'll see what I choose to focus mostly on.

Ahhh, Ok. I see. Like my old pvp server then, Deathwing. Moved over to PVE after tiering from the constant ganking. Is there a big server load?

What are your mains names on that server anyway? think I'll level my death knight for real there instead, PvP servers can be fun too

We had a paladin thing going, my rad idea was to assemble 5x well geared retribution paladins and reap some honor kills.
Buuuut because one has no skills or time for pvp and the other are nearly never online and the third cant bring his arse together to level up his paladin the idea kinda went down the drain.

Yeah, and that is too bad.. Man, I wish I had Gynternet on my gaming PC. Then I could play again. Garf Darf!

Tricky thing is beastie, me'n thomas are playing a lot on moonglade, martin is here and theodude is here.

Now I've been to Xavious a fair bit too and I hardly ever see lasse and the other onlines ._. either their not as active as us or they have alt names that I dont on my friend list.

+ the reason we dont like PvP realsm that much is the long agonizingly long long long time it takes to level up while high level players kill you and camp your corpse for hours.
PvE and RP servers have none of that.
oh, and PvP servers have absolutely no RP either, so I think most of the time its populated by rude leetspeaking geeks, more than likeminded players.

Rawr, no server is nicest when it comes to rude players these days, and ganking is a fact o' pvp server life, whether witnessed by others or not.

Still, I just might transfer my druid to Xavious, just for some spice, I DO after all have relentless pvp gear with him.

And with 5 80ies I can spare one for another server

So, how are you doing with you druid?

lvl 5 now, but I cant play due to both bad internett and exams.
Lasse has given me lots of adons that helps me lots, but when the spell is already cast before the castbar comes up, there is something wrong, so I'm waiting until more time and better net.

Or just go to a less populated server.

no, the lag is from our shitty net. besides, I have to upgrade to full acount soon, and that damn elprice.no hasn't sent me my games yet. grr...

Lemme know if you change your mind, I've changed mine about rolling squat on Xavious, I got too much to do with my own characters as it is.

well you know you have 10 char slots per server up to a total of 50 across all realms, and that you can roll on moonglade now and then roll worgen when the cataclysm shakes the shelves into submission, take my advice roll moonglade now and establish your network there cus then you'll have an easier time finding the kind of players you want to hang around (Rpers, PvE'ers, PvP'ers or those who combine the 3 previous styles into one flexible and diverse playing style that suits the individual) i.e. hang with me if you want rp, hang with Ray if you want Epix tips about how to best build your character gearwise and talentwise OR hang with both of us if you want it all spiced up with trash talking and roleplaying madness =) *nod*
